KTM’s revealed the latest version of its dedicated track weapon: the RC 8C
It’s that time of the year when the Austrian factory whips the covers off its limited-edition, all-singing, all-dancing, track-only sportbike.
It’s very, very similar to last year’s model – though for 2024, there’re only 100 of them rolling off the production line.

Built with the help of Krämer, the RC-8C essentially is a stripped-back version of KTM’s 890 Duke R, with the same 889cc LC8 parallel-twin engine doing the business. That said, it has been tuned to high heaven and gets a much higher 12,000rpm redline and 135hp on tap.
That’s not all, as the 142kg weapon gets a sweet CrMo trellis frame; some top-notch WP springs front and rear; race-specification Brembo stoppers; and even some MotoGP-style carbon aerodynamic wings. Oooft.
If you’re interested (and you’ve got some deep pockets), you’ll have to lay down an initial £900 deposit before splashing out the remainder of the £36,999 price tag. The good news is that you’ll get looked after by KTM, who’ll invite you to a super-exclusive handover event at Portimao which includes a track set up session and track day experience, a swanky dinner, and a meet and greet event.
Pre-orders opened on March 20, so if you’re keen you’d better act fast. Nip over to the KTM website for all the details, or give your favoured dealer a shout and they should be able to sort you out.
