MoreBikes has been out on the UK launch of BMW’s new C 400 GT – and spent the day putting the touring-oriented big brother of the German factories C 400 X through its paces.

“Smooth doesn’t even cover it. It’s bloody spot on. The seat is super comfortable – and you’ve even got the added extra of it being heated, which coupled with its heated grips, you are absolutely smothered in luxury from the get go.
The suspension has handled every lump and bump that we’ve hit – and its rear unit being adjustable, you can carry a pillion or load up with luggage with no trouble.
Power delivery is smooth and linear – but I have clocked a fraction of a second throttle lag from a standing start as the clutch kicks in at about 2300 rpm.
Its TFT screen is clear and easy to read. The cockpit is spacious, and the screen gives you plenty of protection with the wind just catching the top of my head. So far so good. Looking forward to this afternoon.”
