Intermot show: Want a baby Tuono 125? Yeah? Aprilia has just lifted the wraps off this little cracker!

Like it’s much bigger capacity sibling, the new baby Tuono is based around it’s more sporty brother. So you know the score with this one; goes like the RS4 125, a bit more upright in the riding position and bosses the tiny naked bike looks market.
The bike has a lot of the same details and spec (as you’d expect) as the RS4 including the 14 litre petrol tank, chassis and brakes.
The braking system mounts a four-piston radial caliper on the front wheel, assisted by Bosch ABS, that grips a 300mm diameter steel disc. On the rear, the new J.Juan caliper grips a 220mm disc.
The engine
The Aprilia Tuono 125 has a Euro 4 approved 125 cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve electronic injection engine with liquid cooling and double overhead camshaft timing. Vibrations are reduced by a balancing countershaft.
The Tuono 125 is installation-ready for Quick Shift, the gear shifting system that Aprilia has used and perfected on tracks all over the world. Just like with its big sister, the Tuono 1100, the electronic system manages torque interruption for the engaged gear change, based on how far the throttle is open and the engine revs, allowing the rider to upshift while holding the throttle open and without using the clutch.
