If coffee beans and battery-powered scooters are your bag, you need to keep your diary free this weekend.
Segway might be best known for its funky self-balancing ‘personal transporters’, but in recent years the American-founded, Chinese-owned firm has been working away on a range of scooters and motorcycles. And the first models to make it over to the UK are now available to test ride.
To celebrate, the company’s throwing a free event this weekend, offering potential punters the chance to swing their leg over its funky, twist and go B110S, E110S or its E125S. For free. Pretty cool, right?

All you’ve got to do is head along to the excellent Seven Districts Coffee House in Lincoln (well, just outside Lincoln – in Welton) from 11.00am on Saturday the 15th of October. If you’ve got a CBT licence, a full motorcycle licence or even a full car licence issued before 2001, you’ll be able to nip out for a blast and see what they’re like on the road. If you are interested in heading out on one (or all three), you’d be best off getting in touch to book a slot in advance.
