BMW has collaborated with Custom Work Zon at the Hot Rod Custom Show 2018 in Yokohama, unveiling a prototype board tracker with an 1800cc boxer engine.
BMW has form for showcasing its latest developments with the help of custom houses. Back in 2013, Roland Sands created the BMW Concept Ninety – before BMW went on to release its R NineT retro-styled machine. And it seems like it’s happening again, with BMW seemingly giving Custom Work Zon a massive 1800cc boxer unit to power its super cool board tracker.

It’s an exciting development from the Bavarian factory – and we reckon it hints that there’s some big news coming from BMW in the not too distant future. At this stage, we’re just speculating about where the engine’s going to end up – but we’ve heard whispers that BMW could be working on a bike to challenge Ducati’s Diavel, or even a machine to rival the likes of Harley-Davidson and Indian’s outputs.
