Japanese customisation specialists Bagus has made a name for itself, producing an eclectic range of radical and bizarre two wheeled creations. And the latest to be unveiled to the public is an awesome RACE-READY Kawasaki Zephyr 400.
Ok, so it’s possible that Kawasaki’s Zephyr 400 isn’t the most obvious choice if you were looking for a classic motorcycle to take to the track. But that doesn’t have to be the case. Take a look at Bagus’ beautiful custom project – and tell us this Zephyr 400 isn’t made for the track.

Getting under the skin of Bagus’ custom project – there’s been an abundance of changes to ensure this is the most trick Zephyr 400 you’ve ever seen. Sadly, there’s little information about what’s been done to its powerplant – but have seen the previous projects created by the good people of Bagus, we’re fairly sure they will have done an internal tuning, and have probably managed to increase its power output in the process. There are a few new bits and pieces though, including new Keihin FCR 33mm carburettors, a titanium Striker exhaust, in addition to a new oil radiator helping to increase airflow.
The chassis has undergone some work too. There’s now engine protection, which while helping to keep the powerplant safe in the event of an off, it also helps to prevent the cradle from twisting and warping when winding on the power. It also comes with new Öhlins suspension at the front and rear, in addition to new calipers, discs and Brembo pumps for braking, and swanky Marchesini wheels.
