Walter Siegl Motorcycles built-to-order MV Agusta Bol d’Or Series street racer

Walter Siegl Motorcycles has just unveiled its latest addition to its MV Agusta Bol d’Or Series – built around the iconic Italian brands new 3-cylinder engine and nimble trellis chassis.

If you’ve not heard of WSM before – the New Hampshire based bike builders use the latest in electronics, suspension and technology to hand-build machines with top level performance and unique styling.

WSM’s first production model was an air-cooled Ducati-based Leggero, using Walt Siegl-designed chassis and bodywork – and in 2015, WSM launched the Bol d’Or, based on zero mile current 3-cylinder MV Agustas.

The latest MV Agusta Bol d’Or Series was unveiled a few weeks ago, and was finished by Walter Siegl himself. It shares plenty with WSM’s previous Bol d’Or incarnations, but comes with a few notable differences – and unlike the others, it’s been made to be used on the road.

First on the list of things to do, is shed some weight. Once all the current plastics were stripped off, a new lighter aluminium subframe was added, on top of which a new Kevlar fairing manufactured by John Harvey of FuelCel is added. That’s not all though, WSM added magnesium wheels, machined aluminium footpegs – and even reconfigured the electronics and engine mapping. The MV Agusta Bol d’Or Series tips the scales at 150kg (almost 36kg lighter than the standard machine) and kicks out power of approximately 140bhp.
