New 200bhp+ Confederate revealed – if you’ve got £70k to spend…

This is the latest motorcycle for the mega-rich from American company Confederate Motors.

The second-gen Confederate P51 Combat Fighter (snappy name…) is the last bike that design guru Pierre Terblanche did for the company before leaving. The man with the pens and ideas is now at Royal Enfield.

The bike is powered by a 2,163cc, 56 degree V-twin motor (the firm’s CX4 motor), Confederate is claiming more than 200bhp at the rear wheel with a mighty 170ftlbs of torque.

There’s a solid-disc rear wheel made out of carbon fibre and a five-spoke carbon fibre front wheel. Double-wishbone front suspension takes care of the front end and there’s a pretty normal single  shock at the back – both set-ups have adjustment for compression and rebound damping.

The wheelbase is 1,600mm long and the bike tips the scales at 226kg, wet.

There will be two versions of the bike made, both will be in very limited numbers, you’ll probably be not very surprised to hear. 30 bikes of the ‘blonde’ scheme will be put out, they will cost a hefty £72,467 and the ‘brunette’ option will have 31 bikes built and will stretch your wallet to an even more eyebrow raising £76,029.
