Here’s the confirmation of our mid-sized Honda city/Adventure style bike story – direct from inside Honda itself.
These two patent designs for the bike, plus the official importer listing from Astra Honda in India proves that Honda is going to add the funky 500 to the range for next year.
Called the CMX500AH in the official listing for import (pictured above), the bike is an additional model to the CB500 range only this version comes with a more upright riding position, more clearance front suspension and a taller front fairing. The bike is going to be much more focused for on-road riding with a new steel frame, new styling, larger (more funky) exhaust, upside down front forks, new styling that includes the indicators being worked into the slim handguards and an adjustable squat screen. The bike is also getting a chunkier swingarm than the current CB500X Adventure (below).
