The highly anticipated Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 will soon arrive, featuring water cooling and an impressive 40 horsepower. Recent leaks of technical specs have also provided additional information.
The anticipation of Enfield enthusiasts for the upcoming Enduro is only growing. Recent leaks have revealed that it will be named the Royal Enfield Himalayan 452. Its powerful water-cooled engine boasts a displacement of 451.65 cubic meters and an impressive 40 hp at 8,000 rpm. Despite a slight increase in displacement, this significant performance boost can be attributed to the innovative new engine design incorporating elements such as water cooling, electronic fuel injection, two overhead camshafts, and four valves.
The dimensions and weight of the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 have also been revealed. It measures 2,245 mm long, is 1,316 mm high and 852 mm wide. With a windshield, the height can increase to 1,415 mm, while the width can reach up to 900 mm with hand protection. The wheelbase is set at 1,510 mm and has a kerb weight of 196 kilograms. Its permissible total weight is stated as 394 kilograms, making it approximately 3 kilograms lighter than the previous model.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 was seen as a prototype as early as 2022. What stands out are the exceptionally lengthy suspension travel of the USD fork and the shock absorber with progressive spring, potentially exceeding 200 millimetres. The side-down fork features a 21-inch wheel, and the steel swingarm in gullwing design is expected to utilize a 17-inch wheel. Straight-spoked wire wheels suggest tube usage. Additional features include two-channel ABS, a 6-speed gearbox, engine protection, and attachment points for luggage.
The rear silencer, positioned half-high and just behind the driver’s seat, boasts a large front counterpart under the swingarm bearing. The Himalayan 452 test prototype featured a spacious-looking tank above the compact engine, providing ample volume and range. Additionally, the back end sloped sharply towards the driver’s seat and was safeguarded by oval protective bars at the steering head level.
The front of the bike features a circular main headlight encircled by a compact disc. Positioned in front are the low-set handlebars, while the seat is split into two sections. A tubular structure at the back leads to a broad fender with built-in lights.
The upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 is set to come loaded with features. These include LED indicators and lighting and a circular TFT display that offers turn-by-turn navigation. Additionally, riders can expect Bluetooth connectivity and arrow navigation capabilities.
