The long-awaited Husqvarna Norden 901 looks like it’s ready to roll.
It’s been a couple of years since the Austrian-cum-Swedish factory first showed off its prototype adventure bike at the EICMA show in Milan, and since then we’ve been sitting tight for the big reveal of the finished production-ready machine. We’re not quite there yet, but a couple of shots of the Norden 901 out testing confirms it’s not far away at all.

The bike that’s been caught on camera out testing looks very similar to the prototype that was first show back in 2019. That’s good news. The big trail bike from Husky got a lot of people excited when it was revealed – and it looks like we won’t be disappointed with the finished article.
The expectation is that the Norden 901 will be powered by a 899cc Euro 5 parallel twin engine (105 hp at 8,000 rpm and 100 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm) and will get an electronic throttle, a slipper clutch, WP APEX suspension (43 mm inverted forks and a monoshock with preload knob), a TFT colour dash (with connectivity) and big 20 litre rally-raid style tank. There’s also talk of cornering ABS, traction control, engine braking adjustment and a semi-automatic transmission.
There will be full-LED lighting, 21” front and 18” rear spoked wheels, serrated footpegs, a multi -tube steel chassis with a reinforced aluminum swingarm, a centre stand, a short windshield and some decent protection too.
In short, the Norden 901 looks like a serious proposition in the adventure bike market – and with KTM’s support, there’s no doubt it’s going to be a good’un. We can’t wait to finally see one in the flesh. Here’s hoping we don’t have to wait too much longer.
