That’s why race organisers have come up with the ‘TT LOCK-IN’ – an eight day long digital festival hosted by vlogger Chris Pritchard and Steve Plater.

Running from June 6 to 13 on the TT website (and its various social media channels), the TT Lock-In promises to blend some of the greatest moments from the Mountain Course with live interviews and insights from the biggest names in game.

Expect classic footage from five great races, including the 1992 Senior TT in which Carl Fogarty and Steve Hislop went head to head. Pritchard and Plater will also be joined by a veritable who’s-who of TT racers – including John McGuinness, Dean Harrison, Carl Fogarty, Phillip McCallen, Rob McElnea, Peter Hickman, Brian Reid, Cameron Donald and multi-sidecar TT race winners Ben Birchall and Dave Molyneux.

That’s just scratching the surface though. TT rider liaison officer and former race winner Richard ‘Milky’ Quayle will be explain exactly how to prepare to race the TT Mountain Course. There’s a series of documentaries on the agenda too. Oh and there’s even going to be a digital version of the popular paddock attraction, the ‘Sundown Cinema’.
