According to Spanish outlets, Alex Rins has already signed a contract for two more years with Suzuki, knocking Ducati interest to have him in its team on the head.
With Maverick Vinales (Yamaha’s team leader for this year and next) and Fabio Quartararo (signed to stay with Yamaha this year and move to the factory Yamaha team next year, ousting Valentino Rossi) out of the way, the paddock did have Rins as high on Ducati’s shopping list.
But it sounds as if Rins has now signed to stay at Suzuki for the next couple of seasons. There’s no official news about this just yet, but if this does turn out to be the case then it’ll mean that Rins could well be teammate to Joan Mir in the blue squad.
