Scott Redding took control of the first day of testing at Portimao – ending the day at the top of the time sheets on his ARUBA.IT Racing Ducati.
Ahead of the World Superbike Championship kicking off next month, the paddock has been out testing at Portimao in Portugal – and at the end of the first day, British rookie Scott Redding topped the timesheets, putting in a (unofficial) lap of 1’41.179.
On his second visit to Portimao, Redding set quick lap times on both of his bikes – as he went out in search of rear grip. With its long corners and tight hairpins, the circuit proved the perfect opportunity for the British Superbike Champion to test his bikes – and test them he did, putting in a series of strong laps towards the end of the day to finish up at the top of the pile on day one.
