What to do this August bank holiday…

It happens every bank holiday….millions of people hit the roads with the same plan – “let’s go away – it will be lovely!” – well, a new study from Halfords Autocentres shows that the car breaking down, traffic jams and getting lost are the top three things guaranteed to ruin our plans.

They found that breaking down was the biggest fear of over half (52%) of drivers setting off on a trip with family and friends.  Forty per cent said getting stuck in traffic would spoil the outing most, whilst getting lost was of greatest concern to one in four (25%).

So, what to do this bank holiday… go out on the bike instead!It will solve all your problems – you won’t get stuck in traffic and if you take a sat nav or a good old map with you then you won’t get lost – plus, do you ever get lost on a ride out or just have a longer ride?!
