Up to now, using a touchscreen GPS system meant taking off your gloves to programme it – not ideal in cold weather. But a new conductive liquid, ‘Nanotips’, gives your gloves the same conductive properties as your fingertips.
‘Nanotips’ is a waterproof conductive polyamide liquid solution, formulated using nanotechnology.
There are two varieties of ‘Nanotips’ being made; Nanotips Blue which is for fabric/fleeces and Nanotips Black which is for leather, rubber and Gore-Tex.
Reapplication is required after 2-4 weeks, but the manufacturers claim that one bottle will give 30 applications (or 15 in the case of Nanotips Blue).
