A date has been set for the official launch of Kawasaki’s hotly-anticipated quarter litre sportbike; the ZX-25R.
Originally expected to be revealed to the world back in April – before the global coronavirus outbreak forced a change in the schedule – we’ve been talking about Kawasaki’s latest pocket rocket for months. But it looks like the long wait is nearly over, as Kawasaki Indonesia has announced that it’s going to be launching the ZX-25R on July 10.
Despite all the promotion from Kawasaki – we still know very little about the new hot 250. We do know it’ll have traction control, a quickshifter and a ride-by-wire throttle, and we also know that it’ll make over 40hp thanks to some leaked dyno numbers from Akrapovic – but official specifications are still under wraps.

Sadly, it’s extremely unlikely the ZX-25R will ever make it to the UK or Europe, as it’s been primarily aimed at the Asian market – but we’re keeping our fingers crossed that Kawasaki surprises us.
