We’ve been talking about Kawasaki’s eagerly anticipated ZX-25R for months – and now a video has been released showing the little 250 screaming on the dyno.
Although official technical specifications haven’t been released yet – we do know the bike is powered by a punchy 249cc, water-cooled, inline-four motor which revs up to 18,000rpm and is rumoured to offer around about 50bhp.
The bike comes with a surprising amount of kit for a small bike. It gets a lightweight trellis frame, Showa’s SFF-BP (Separate Function Fork – Big Piston) forks and a horizontal back-link rear suspension unit. Brakes are a radially-mounted monoblock caliper up front – while it’s also kitted out with KTRC (Kawasaki’s Traction Control), Power Mode, and KQS (Kawasaki’s Quick Shifter). Not bad for a little 250, eh?

No news on the bike making it across to British shores – but it’s already available for pre-order in Indonesia, where it’s expected to start arriving with punters in the not too distant future.
