The Austrian factory has just closed for two weeks in an attempt to curtail the spread of the coronavirus.
KTM itself says that whilst the shutdown won’t affect sales and deliveries, it will affect the firm’s business plans for the rest of 2020.
Stopping production at the plant in Mattighofen is a measure to not only stop the spread of the virus but also to mitigate the possible interruption of the supply chain of materials from northern Italy, an area of the world in total lockdown as it battles the coronavirus itself.
