New Touratech Compañero Boreal motorcycle suit

After the “Worldwide” Compañero and the “Black Edition”, Touratech have now launched a completely new variant of this high-tech riding suit: the Compañero Boreal. This is a riding suit made of high-quality triple layered laminate with a climate membrane, designed for all those who rarely travel under the tropical sun, and for whom the double suit system of the present Compañero is therefore too cumbersome.

The term “Boreal” refers to the moderately cold climatic zones where the Compañero with the same name comes into its own: absolutely waterproof, with an innovative ventilation system, trousers fitted with detachable thermo-lining, a POLARTEC® fleeceinner jacket which can be worn separatelyand generously cut triple-layer laminate by Goretex, the new Touratech touring suit combines maximum robustness with numerous clever details. These include various reflecting surfaces, a practical backpack, adjustable arm, hip and waist lengths, as well as an orderly arrangement of pockets with plenty of room for personal items.

Like its two cousins, the Compañero Boreal is thought out in detail: the trouser legs are fitted with zippers which even allow comfortable slipping into Enduro boots, whereby the boot section is additionally reinforced with Cordura to provide maximum durability.

The absolutely water-proof YKK zippers are a novelty and prevent the penetration of any form of water, with this design they are revolutionary in motorcycling. The SAS-TEC soft protectors of the latest generation provide maximum safety and comply with the highest motorcycle standards.
“Riders often asked us for a classic combination with the same high quality and comfort standards as the Worldwide Compañero. This is the group we are addressing”, says Tilo Jentzsch, the product manager responsible, about the Compañero Boreal. Development was oriented more towards classical bike travellers than globetrotting adventurers. With the Boreal, Touratech would like to offer all those who do not require the benefits of the “Summer” suit (e.g. because they prefer more northerly tours) a true alternative to meet maximum demands on quality.

The top layer is made of GORE-TEX ® Pro Product triple-layer laminate and is certified in accordance with the Eco-Tex-Standard 100, the material for shoulders, elbows, knees and buttocks is made of GORE-Tex® triple-layer laminate with ten per cent Aramide.

The new Touratech touring suit was created in collaboration with the renowned German clothing outfitter Stadler and is manufactured in the EU. It consists of black trousers and a jacket which is available in black or optionally in the Compañero colours black-gray-yellow. The Compañero Boreal is available in the men’s sizes standard, short and long, as well as in a ladies’ cut.
