SEAT has announced it’s working on a fully electric scooter – and the Spanish car manufacturer is gearing up to reveal it to the world in just over a week’s time.
Alongside its Renault Twizy-rivalling Minimo, it seems the Spanish firm is starting to get serious about urban mobility – as it looks to find ways to tackle congestion in large cities.
SEAT President Luca de Meo stated that “the constant growth of large cities makes achieving efficient mobility one of the main challenges to overcome. Today we are taking a further step in our urban micromobility strategy by confirming the launch of the first eScooter in the history of the brand.”

The Seat eScooter is being developed in partnership with Barcelona-based electric scooter builders Silence – and although we’ve not had any in depth information about the new machine, we do know that it’ll be powered by the electric equivalent of a 125cc drivetrain.
And we’re not going to have to wait too much longer for the inside scoop on the new eScooter, as it’ll be presented at the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona on November 19.
