Benelli’s resurgence is in full swing – and at EICMA 2019, the Chinese-Italian factory has just unveiled TWO new 800cc versions of its Leoncino.
Building on the success of its 500cc Leoncino, Benelli has just revealed its Leoncino 800 and Leoncino 800 Trail. Powered by an all-new water-cooled twin-cylinder 754cc engine which kicks out around 80bhp of power and 67Nm of torque, the two bikes come with a tubular frame, 16 litre metal fuel tanks, Marzocchi USD front forks and Brembo brakes.
The main differences between the standard machine and the Leoncino 800 Trail include switching the 17-inch wheels for a 19-inch front, Pirelli dual sport rubber, increased suspension travel, a taller seat and an upswept exhaust.

At this stage, that’s about as much as we know. We’re hoping they’ll be imported into the UK, but there’s no guarantee – and there’s been no news on prices just yet either, but considering the cost of the Leoncino 500’s, we’re expecting the new 800’s to be very competitive indeed. Fingers crossed.
