The Majesty name is and has been a mainstay of the Yamaha scooter line for a number of years, with over 150,000 units sold for the 125 to 180cc versions. During this time it has built a reputation for convenience and affordability. For 2014, the new Majesty S is hoping to add an extra fun factor in an attempt to attract a new generation of urban commuters.
Complete with new bodywork, the Majesty offers a spacious flat footboard area and a natural and riding position. It features LED position lamp and tail light, plus a three gauge instrument panel. There’s under seat storage space for one full face helmet, plus other small items and there’s also a front storage compartment and a carrying hook.
Powering the Majesty S is a refined version of the 125cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke SOHC 4-valve design that was originally developed for the Xenter – providing 11.8bhp @ 7500rpm.
There’s 13-inch front and rear 5-spoke alloy wheels and wave disc brakes to provide stopping power.
Colour options will include: Silky White, Mat Titan and Midnight Black. Pricing and availability is to be announced.
