Want to increase the output of your 650cc Royal Enfield? Well now you can, with the help of a performance-enhancing big bore kit from S&S Cycle Inc.
Historically, S&S Cycle has designed and manufactured aftermarket performance parts for Indian’s and Harley’s – but recently, it’s started producing products for Royal Enfield’s new Continental GT and Interceptor 650.
We’re most excited about S&S’s new 750cc and 865cc bore kits. Although the full technical details of the kits aren’t available just yet, we do know that it’ll include larger cylinders, bigger pistons and a new head gasket to help eek more power from the standard 47hp, 650cc engine. The 750cc kit should get 55hp, while the 865cc should up the power to around 70hp. The 865cc Big Bore Kit is priced at $634.95 (just over £500) while the 750cc kit is priced slightly lower at around $630.95 (which is just under £500). Not bad.

Of course, the standard 650cc machines sit within the A2 licence category, so if you up the power you will need to ensure you’ve got a full A licence which entitles you to ride any motorcycle. Apart from the Big Bore kits, S&S also make a DynoJet Power Commander, a custom stainless muffler kit, a performance clutch kit, a high-flow air filter, a high-performance camshaft, and a handlebar adjustment kit for improved comfort and stability.
