Marc Marquez has just unveiled a new one-off helmet design for this weekend’s racing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
To celebrate returning to his home circuit, multiple-time championship winner and current leader Marc Marquez has revealed a special, one-off version of his Shoei X-Spirit III helmet.
Marquez has been on the podium at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya five times in the past six seasons – and he’ll be hoping to continue his strong form and delight the Catalan crowd. With his hometown of Cervera located just 100km away, Marquez has made a habit of revealing new lids for the Catalan round of the Moto GP world championship. The first was way back in 2012 when a young Marquez was still riding in Moto2, followed by the ‘Gaudi Mosaic’ design in 2015, while over the last few years he’s stuck to his own ‘Power Up’ designs. But this season, the five-time MotoGP world champion will be wearing his new ‘Signature Helmet’, which has been designed and painted by Dave Designs.

Speaking about the new helmet, Marquez said: “From a stroke, as if it were a signature, we designed this special helmet, drawing the elements that most identify me: the 93 and the ant. Plus, the elements that identify the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya: the main grandstand, the tower of the straight and the piano characteristic of the circuit.”
