MotoGP: Lorenzo and Petrucci into Q2 as Dovizioso misses out

The Italian, currently second in the World Championship, will start the Americas GP from 13th on the grid

Repsol Honda Team’s Jorge Lorenzo made it through to Q2 at the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas after topping Q1 with a 2:05.855, narrowly ahead of Mission Winnow Ducati’s Danilo Petrucci.

The Qatar Grand Prix winner and the man currently second in the MotoGP™ World Championship Andrea Dovizioso, however, missed out to his teammate by 0.016 of a second after trying to make it through Q1 with the use of only one new rear tyre. As a result, he will start Sunday’s Americas GP from the fifth row of the grid in thirteenth.
