After 11 years on South American soil, it looks as though the Dakar Rally might be uprooting for 2020 – with Saudi Arabia rumoured as the latest venue for the iconic Rally Raid event.
At least that’s what we’ve been led to believe by a couple of Saudi Arabian drivers, Mohammed Al Twaijri and Yazeed Al Rajhi, who’ve posted on their social media channels that the Dakar Rally will be heading to Middle East in 2020, for the very first time.
And that’s not all – according to the post, the agreement between the ASO and the Saudi Government is set to last for a five year period. At this stage, we’ve not had any official confirmation from the Rally organisers, but there’s no denying it’s probably time to mix it up with a new venue. What do you think?
