Brivemo Motos has overhauled a Honda CB1000R, creating a Frankenstein scrambler it’s called the Africa Four CRF1000R.

Brivemo Motos, the official Honda dealer in Switzerland, has just unveiled its custom version of Honda’s CB1000R neo-retro naked sportbike and created a new large capacity off-roader, which looks like it’d be capable of giving Triumph’s new Scrambler 1200 a serious run for its money.

Brivemo adapted the suspension unit from a Honda CRF450R, creating a completely new front end with a single large diameter disc brake disc, anodised 4-piston caliper and Continental TKC 80 knobbly tyres. It also comes with a 4-into-1 exhaust with a short carbon fibre silencer, a single-seat, a new headlight, a new front mudguard and new aluminium handlebars.

The Africa Four also gets engine protection, a short license plate holder, toothed footpegs, minimalist LED indicators and Adventure Sports bodywork. In fact, all it seems to be missing is a big bash plate. Of course, it also comes with electronic throttle and traction control, with four unique riding modes (Rain, Standard, Sport, User), but no ABS.

Chances are this bike has been created to compete in the fourth edition of Brivemo Motos annual ‘Brivemo Africa Twin Raid’ in Morocco – but here’s hoping Honda takes some inspiration from the new custom machine, and creates its own neo-retro scrambler.
