New Vespa GTS 300 Super

The new GTS Super evolves with new standards in safety, technology, comfort and painstakingly detailed finishing. The large body version of the Vespa now has new front ESS suspension, 2-channel ABS, ASR traction control and a Vespa Multimedia Platform to connect your smartphone. Other notable features include a more spacious helmet compartment, a more comfortable seat and the latest generation instrument cluster.

For the first time on the Vespa GTS, the sophisticated Multimedia Platform allows a smartphone to be connected to the on-board electronic system – instantly transforming it into a multifunctioning tool, displaying information such as speedometer and tachometer data, but also engine power and torque, longitudinal acceleration, instant and average fuel consumptions, average speed and much more. You can also view maps and routes as well as the tyre monitoring feature that sensors tyre wear and inflation, immediately alerting the rider of any potentially critical situations.

The new GTS Super has earned a new ‘’tie’’ on the front shield with a modern design, in harmony with the one of the recent Vespa Primavera. The front and rear turn indicators have new clear plastics and a brand new rear light assembly, elegantly adorned by a chromium frame which recalls the finish of the crest of the front mudguard. The GTS Super is equipped with five-spoke wheel rims with new black finishing and the footboard central tunnel cover is new. 

The GTS Super comes standard with a USB port located in the leg shield back plate compartment, convenient for recharging any external device, whilst the front turn indicators contain a series of LEDs that act as daylight running lights. The instrument panel has a black background and is lit up by a sporty shade of red. The visual flow of the modern and decisive lines of the cowls, the round and sloping front headlight, the fold-out passenger footrests are characteristics which remain intact on the new GTS Super, making it unique as always.

Latest Technology and Safety

The Vespa Multimedia Platform (VMP) introduces a new way of understanding two-wheeled communication, allowing the rider to keep constant tabs on all riding parameters and to handle both city traffic and longer trips in complete safety. One of the many features provided by pairing your smartphone with VMP is the parked Vespa finder, certain to be popular in the busy urban cities. You can also store all of your travel data in order to easily analyse your riding style through the numerous parameters acquired in real time during your journeys.

The Vespa GTS Super is available with a 300cc, single cylinder 4-stroke, 4-vavle liquid cooled engine with an electronic injection capable of providing maximum power of 22 HP at 7,500 rpm and putting out a maximum torque of 22.3 Nm at just 5,000 rpm.

Once only available on the best motorcycles – ASR and ABS are two active safety systems now available as standard on the GTS Super. Each wheel has a revolution detection system with a two-channel hydraulic control unit which activates the ABS system if one of the two wheels decelerates abruptly, avoiding locking and ensuring stability and efficient braking. Meanwhile the ASR system uses the electronics and the ASR sensors to compare the rotations speed of the two wheels to prevent acceleration slides, particularly useful in wet conditions or when encountering unexpected loose gravel or diesel. The technical equipment of the Vespa GTS Super also includes the adoption of the new ESS front suspension, already successfully introduced on the Vespa Primavera and Vespa Sprint.
