The Brit suffered ankle fractures in the Australian GP crash and whilst he’s focusing on getting fit as soon as possible, he won’t be able to get out this weekend for the season-ending round at Valencia.
HRC test rider Stefan Bradl is stepping in to replace Crutchlow for the race.

Crutchlow crashed heavily at Turn 1 in FP2 at Phillip Island at the end of October suffering a bimalleolar fracture and anterior tibia part right ankle fracture in the fall. The 33-year-old had emergency surgery in Australia and stayed in hospital for longer so that he could have a second operation with two small plates inserted into the joint to hold the bones together.
The three-time Grand Prix race winner has since returned home to continue his rehabilitation. The news now means that Crutchlow’s chances of claiming P1 in the Independent Team Championship have now gone, with Johann Zarco (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) currently one point ahead in the standings.
