OK, so hats off to the consistently excellent Asphalt & Rubber site in the US of A for posting these photos from Ducati of the 2019 Panigale V4 RS19. It’s the bike of the year – and we’re talking next year at that. It’s the bike of 2019.
Yeah, it is.
234hp @ 15,500rpm is what this bike makes in road trim with a full Akrapovic system fitted. Eeep. So figure on more than that from this racetrack-honed carbon delight.
A&R thinks that the bike – that will be contested in WSB by Chaz Davies and Alvaro Bautista – is likely to tip the scales around 168kg (that’s the minimum weight for a bike that competes in WSB). We aren’t going to argue with that, it looks like it could blow away in a strong gust of wind.
And whilst we’re here drooling over this absolutely gorgeous thing, check out the neat fuel tank/seat/subframe combo.
In our world, the sexiest bikes of all time go like this: RGV250 VJ22a, Cagiva V593, 1987 GSX-R750, the Superleggera and a factory 1999 Kawasaki KX250. This beats them all. What do you think? Hot, right?
