EICMA 2018: Husqvarna shows Vitpilen 701 AERO CONCEPT. Futuristic FUNKY roadster.

Husqvarna has just unveiled three new models at EICMA in Milan – and two of them will be making it to market in 2019. Of course, the headline news is the big reveal of its new production Svartpilen 701 – which joins the Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401 and 701 in the iconic Swedish brands street bike line up. But there’s much more than that to get excited about – there’s also its super cool Vitpilen 701 AERO concept model.

Building on the success of Husqvarna’s recently introduced Vitpilen 701 – which has made a big impression since being revealed last year – the designers at Husky have decided to rustle up this funky roadster concept and show us just what’s possible with its innovative new street bike

Essentially, the VITPILEN 701 AERO concept is a modern faired sport bike with an innovative design, and a fairing which gives a nod to the race bikes of yesteryear. Admittedly, under that trick new fairing, not much is different – it’s got the same modern single-cylinder engine, although it does come with an increased power output. However, it does feature a lower and more locked-in riding position, and combines a stylish classic-inspired design with thrilling performance and modern tech.
