The German factory has just announced that it’s turning out more new motorcycles at EICMA, Italy next week than was previously thought.
Here’s what the factory has said, directly:
The Milan EICMA motorshow is one of the most important international motorcycle shows. From 6 to 11 November 2018, visitors will not only be able to experience the six world premieres for themselves at the 1,000 sqm BMW Motorrad stand, they will also see the BMW R 1250 GS and BMW R 1250 RT, which already kicked of the series of new models at the INTERMOT motorshow.

So what will these mystery bikes be? Well, we know there’s the new S 1000 RR coming, here’s our spy shot of the bike out en masse in a recent road test prior to launch:
And we know there’s an F 850 GS Adventure on it’s way too, here’s out spy shot (below) of that bike out on test:
Then there’s the G310 S (or RR) which is the mini-superbike built in partnership with Indian firm TVS (below). To be honest, we’ve recently been told by a BMW person off the record that this bike ISN’T coming to Europe, so if that’s the case then none of us are getting to see this thing in the flesh and it’ll stay in the Indian and Asian markets only. However, if what we were told is a bit of bluff then this beautiful little thing could turn up at EICMA:
We know too that there’s a raft of other GS and RT versions coming after we brought you this Californian Air Resources Board document a while back:
So what do you reckon is going into the six bike line-up next week? Should Europe get the mini-superbike? Will you be buying the updates S 1000 RR?
Exciting times.
