For the past couple of years we’ve been banging on about this motorcycle hitting the road in proddie form and here’s the final bit of proof of just that (even though the factory have been talking about it, you’re never quite sure until finished production drawings like these emerge).
The patent images have been posted on the excellent Asphalt & Rubber website over the weekend (go there for your USA news) and we’re properly in love with these renderings of the Indian flat tracker that’s coming next year.

Thankfully, the drawings are in such detail that you can see how close the road bike will be to the prototype motorcycle that Indian showed earlier this year.
A&R’s Jensen Beeler suggests that the bike has a 19″ front wheel, a 18″ rear and a swingarm that we saw on the firm’s 1200 Custom concept (below). That looks right to us.
The road bike is getting an offset rear shock and overall the finished bike isn’t a million miles away from the Indian FTR750 race bike (below). The roadster also gets an underseat fuel tank and radial brakes.
It looks badass. We want one. Badly.
Expect this bike to be the darling of the upcoming motorcycle shows which kick off next month with Intermot in Cologne, it will then go on sale early next year.
Whoop, and indeed, whoop – as some of our USA brethren might say…
