Glenn Irwin topped the times in the final Bennetts British Superbike Championship free practice session at Oulton Park, stealing the top position from his Be Wiser Ducati team-mate Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne by 0.272s
Jason O’Halloran had been setting the pace in the final ten minutes but in the closing moments the Be Wiser Ducati pair surged ahead to push the Honda Racing contender back into third, just ahead of JG Speedfit Kawasaki’s Leon Haslam.

Jake Dixon completed the top five RAF Regular & Reserves Kawasaki ahead of championship leader Bradley Ray and Danny Buchan who had been sitting third fastest in the earlier stages of the session.
Tommy Bridewell pushed up the order to eighth fastest with Peter Hickman and Josh Brookes completing the top ten.
Tyco BMW’s Christian Iddon remains sidelined for the weekend after fracturing his hand yesterday afternoon.
