Yoshimura and Suzuki have been working together since 1978. And to celebrate 40 years of success, they have released this beautiful video showing some of their most famous achievements…

But how did this fruitful partnership begin? Well, let’s step back in time to 1922 – and the birth of Mr Hideo “Pops” Yoshimura .

An aircraft mechanic through the Second World War, Yoshimura began to repair and prepare the motorbikes used by American soldiers during their occupation of Japan. And the soldiers soon released that the bikes prepared by Yoshimura , in addition to being extremely reliable, were also rabidly fast. His reputation allowed him to move to Los Angeles – and continue doing what he did best: prepare engines. The rest is history…
