While virtual reality hasn’t exactly been embraced by the average consumer, it’s becoming more advanced, and more affordable, at every turn. And to give us a taste of the future, Ecstar Suzuki set up a couple of VR cameras on Andrea Iannone’s and Alex Rins’ Suzuki GSX-RR race bikes at the recent MotoGP test at Valencia.
Don’t worry though, you don’t necessarily need a VR headset to watch, you can check it out on Youtube, and simply scroll your way around – but your smartphone probably has motion tracking IMUs built in, so all you need to do to create your own VR headset is get your hands on a set of Google’s cardboard-made goggles for under a tenner.
