WE’re rapidly heading towards this year’s Tokyo Motor Show and, as such, there’s a lovely glut of the weird and the wonderful starting to appear – and the Yamaha MOTOROiD concept looks absolutely top of the future-ideas. It’s one of those concept bikes that we’d like to have a ride on tomorrow, if we could.
According to Yamaha, the MOTOROiD will use artificial intelligence that will enable to the bike to ‘recognise’ its owner and interact with them. The bike is also going to morph around the rider. The strange-looking seat ‘arms’ actually hug the rider for extra security on the move, the top of the ‘fairing’ lifts up and down and the front forks are electronically controlled on the move as your ride.
