Riding from Dawn till Dusk with the TRF to raise money for road traffic accident victims

Last month, the Cambridgeshire and Suffolk Trail Riders Fellowship (TRF) ran its annual Dawn to Dusk ride, to raise money for charity Headway Cambridgeshire.

The annual event invites members of the TRF on a 270-mile, 12 hour ride – starting off from the Essex border and heading for Hunstanton, taking in as many trails, green lanes and byways as possible, along the way.

Once in Hunstanton, on the Norfolk coast, there was time for a quick bite in the seaside town before turning round and heading for home, completing the challenge in time for sundown (and a well-earned beer too).

This year a forty-strong group of riders took part – helping to raise £1690 for Headway Cambridgeshire. Headway Cambridgeshire is a charity which offers solidarity for people who suffer motorcycle and other road traffic accidents – and the cause is close to the TRF’s heart.

 Austin Willett the Chief Executive of Headway Cambridgeshire said: “We are hugely grateful for the support of the Trail Riders Fellowship who undertook an amazing fundraising effort for us last year and have followed this up with another ride to raise money for us. They are an inspiring group of people who combine their love of trail biking with a desire to make a difference for people in their community. Without the help of people like this we would not be able to continue to provide brain injured people with the vital support they need.”
