Video: Escaping the desert on an apocalyptic two-wheeled Citroen 2CV  

During one of his many road trips to Morocco, Emile Leray – nicknamed the “Doctor of African Mechanics” – totalled his trusty 2CV. Stuck in the desert alone, he was forced to engineer the ultimate DIY escape.

During his Moroccan adventure his 2CV came a cropper, hitting a rock in the middle of the desert. The impact destroyed his car’s front axle, and with only a limited supply of food and water, Leray needed to act fast to escape the desert unscathed – and so, from the parts of his bruised 2CV, the ‘Doctor of African Mechanics’ engineered this awesome apocalyptic DIY desert racer.
