Motorcycle insurer Bennetts has announced that it will now offer key cover as standard, for policyholders with comprehensive insurance cover.
If your key is lost or stolen, Bennetts will pay up to £400 towards the cost of any replacement, no matter if it’s for the ignition, transponders, steering lock, seat lock and side panel lock – plus, there’s no need to pay an excess charge on the policy in the event of a claim.

All policyholders will automatically receive this benefit, and will be informed via a new policy booklet and Notice of Variation on the Bennetts website.
Manager Director of Bennetts, Vince Chaney, said: “We’re proud to offer key cover as standard on our comprehensive insurance policies – currently, we’re the only motorcycle insurance company who offer this. We want to give riders one less thing to worry about in the event of a claim, so aim to make things as simple and stress-free as possible.”
But, that’s not all. Bennetts comprehensive cover also includes an ‘Uninsured Driver Promise’ and ‘Accessories cover’ as standard. The ‘Uninsured Drivers Promise’ means that a policyholders ‘No Claims Discount’ will not be affected by an incident with an uninsured driver – the accessories cover means that permanently fixed accessories including: panniers, top boxes, side boxes, grab rails and sport racks are covered too.
