The 2014 Moto2 champion has been operated on at the Hospital Universitari Dexeus in Barcelona after falling at Turn 11 in Malaysia and suffering five fractures in the fast tumble.
Initial fears of infection seem to have passed and the Marc VDS Racing Team rider has been allowed home. In the crash he suffered two broken wrists, a broken fifth metacarpal in both hands and a fracture in his left foot. He also lost skin and soft tissue from his left knee.
