Motorcycle Live! There’s SEVEN new Ducatis to see at the show this week – don’t miss it.
Ducati UK has brought SEVEN new models to Motorcycle Live at the NEC with the new bikes covering both the Ducati and Scrambler brands from the Italian bike builder.
The Monster 1200 (above) incorporates major changes, with its style becoming more compact and purposeful to underline and hark back to the original, iconic Monster’s spirit while the brand new Monster 797 attracts entry riders with its easy-to-use performance from the 803cc air-cooled engine.
The Superbike family welcomes the addition of the flagship 1299 Superleggera – which is absoultely gorgeous. Built around an extreme 215bhp Superquadro engine, it is the world’s first and only production motorcycle with a full carbon chassis and bodywork. A limited-edition dream bike of just 500 in total (and they’ve already been sold, but it’s worth checking out the bike on the stand…).
Another addition to the Ducati range is the new Multistrada 950 (above), a smaller capacity adventure-touring bike with the features, comfort and commanding ergonomics of the larger Multistrada 1200.
An entire new family for the Ducati brand is the Supersport family which is designed as an access point to Ducati performance and is sporty without being extreme. It certainly got the most interest of all the bikes at the recent Eicma motorcycle show in Milan.
The highly successful Scrambler brand adds two new models, The Desert Sled (above) and Café racer (below). The Desert Sled features an all-new chassis set-up, perfect for: “Soft off-road,” adventure riding while the Café racer is the Scrambler interpretation of the legendary ’60s bikes that triggered a motorcycling revolution. These are displayed on a separate stand adjacent to the main Ducati stand encompassing all the models, accessories and apparel.
As usual there’s also a Ducati store where visitors will be able to buy both Ducati and Scrambler gear and gifts.
The Ducati and Scrambler stands can be found in Hall 4 C10 and B10.
Motorcycle Live is on now at the NEC, Birmingham and continues until Nov 27. For more information about Motorcycle Liv! and to buy tickets go to: http://www.motorcyclelive.co.uk/information/ticket-information
