The EICMA motorcycle show opened its doors in Milan, Italy yesterday with the world’s leading motorcycle manufacturers unveiling even more brand new models for 2017 – many of which will be heading to Motorcycle Live at The NEC, Birmingham next week.

Ducati was the first major manufacturer to unveil a whole host of new machines, including two additions to the Monster family – the 797 and 1200 S – the Multistrada 950 and the exclusive 1299 Superleggera, plus two original Ducati Scramblers, the Desert Sled and the Cafe Racer.

Honda revealed its new models in the form of the CRF250 Rally and CRF250L off-roaders, the X-ADV adventure scooter, the standard CBR1000RR Fireblade and updates to the CBR650F and CB650F naked middleweights.

Yamaha unveiled the T7 concept machine, the XMAX 300 scooter, three new editions of its TMAX sports scooter – the TMAX 500, TMAX SX and TMAX DX – and the limited-edition XSR900 Abarth. It was also the first in-the-metal showing of the YZF-R6.

Suzuki announced brand-new offerings in its small capacity range with a new V-Strom 250, GSX-S125, GSX250R and Burgman 400 joining the newly unveiled GSX-R125.

Triumph took the opportunity to launch the all-new Street Scrambler.

BMW Motorrad debuted an updated the K 1600 GTL super-tourer, a new R nineT and R nineT Urban GS, an updated R 1200 GS, revisions to the F 800 R roadster and the F 800 GT sports tourer,the new G 310 GS small-capacity adventure bike and a prototype HP4 Race machine.

Kawasaki introduced another member of its successful Versys family, the new Versys-X 300, plus two new Z models – the twin cylinder Z650 and the streetfighter-style Z900.

KTM took the covers off three new small-capacity Duke models in 125cc, 250cc and 390cc versions, as well as a new 1290 Super Duke R naked and a 790 Duke Prototype.

To celebrate 50 years of the V7, Moto Guzzi introduced the V7 III Anniversario alongside the new V9 range, while Piaggio Group stable-mate Aprilia presented the Dorsoduro 900, Shiver 900, RSV4 RF and RR, Tuono 125 and RS 125. Vespa unveiled the new Elettrica electric scooter and a special-edition red version of the 946.

Peugeot launched a new 200cc scooter for 2017 named the Belville.

Last but not least, Husqvarna Motorcycles revealed three new models as part of its ‘Real Street’ range – the Vitpilen 401 and Svartpilen 401, as well as the all-new Vitpilen 401 Aero concept machine.

The majority of the new models unveiled at EICMA will be making their UK debut at Motorcycle Live 2016, which takes place at The NEC, Birmingham from 19-27 November.
