Now, the quality of this video isn’t that great (and there’s not a lot of the target bike in it), but what we have here IS footage of the soon-to-be released TVS Akula mini superbike out on the road.

And from the footage you can see that the bike is pretty much the same physical size as a 650 and sounds like a revvy single (which is what it is, based on the BMW G310R which was also developed between BMW and TVS).
The only bit of this film worth watching is the first 35 seconds when the bike pulls over after the rider spotted he’s being tailed by an eager kid with a camera. You don’t get to see much of the bike but it’s there, you then hear it speed off.
Because of the development partnership between the German and Indian companies, both will put out its own version of the bike. That means that the TVS bike is also going to be released as the BMW S300RR mini-superbike when it appears as part of the German firm’s range in 2017.
During the road going test in India the machine is out wearing full BMW-testing style camo paint to hide the details from any snappers who might catch it.
