The Bristol Classic MotorCycle Show isn’t just about celebrating the past—it’s also about looking ahead to the future of racing. This year, we’re excited to welcome a rising star in the world of motorcycle racing, Thorley Trevorrow. At just 12 years old, Thorley has already made a name for himself on the international stage, competing in the FIM Austrian MiniGP series and representing the UK in World Finals.

A Young Talent on the Rise
Thorley started his journey in the competitive world of MiniGP racing at a young age, quickly making waves with his skill and determination. In 2022, at just 10 years old, he earned a place at the FIM MiniGP World Finals in Valencia, competing against the best young riders from around the world. Despite being up against older, more experienced racers, he secured a respectable 23rd place in a field of 48.
His talent continued to shine in the FIM Austrian MiniGP series, one of the toughest championships in Europe, where he placed 5th in 2023 and climbed to 2nd in 2024. This earned him another spot at the World Finals, this time at Motorland Aragon. Despite an unfortunate crash while fighting for a podium finish, Thorley proved he is a force to be reckoned with, setting strong lap times and demonstrating incredible resilience.

The Road to MotoGP
Thorley’s ultimate goal? To race in MotoGP. And he’s already on the right path. His next step is to compete in the Austrian Championship on a larger 190cc Ohvale motorcycle, with an eye on qualifying for the World Finals once again in 2025. By 2026, he will be eligible to enter the prestigious British Talent Cup, a major stepping stone to the world stage. With races held alongside the British Superbike Championship and even MotoGP at Silverstone, the BTC offers unparalleled exposure and experience for young riders with world-class ambitions.

Racing with Purpose
Thorley’s journey isn’t just about chasing trophies—it’s about being part of a sport that is constantly evolving. MotoGP is leading the charge in sustainability and inclusivity, with initiatives to reduce environmental impact, promote accessibility, and support global communities through programmes like Two Wheels for Life. As the sport moves toward 100% sustainable fuel by 2027, young riders like Thorley represent a new generation that will take motorcycle racing into a greener future.
Supporting a Future Champion
Competing at this level requires dedication, talent—and crucially, the right support. Like many racers, Thorley relies on sponsorship to fund his journey, from bike maintenance to international travel. Businesses and individuals who want to support an up-and-coming British racer can get involved through sponsorship opportunities, with branding placement on leathers, helmets, and bikes, as well as media exposure and event appearances.
Come meet Thorley Trevorrow at the Bristol Classic MotorCycle Show and witness the future of racing in action. Who knows? You could be looking at the next British MotoGP star!
