A crash for SAG Team rider Luis Salom ended the second Moto 2 free practice session at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, with the Spanish rider taken to hospital from the scene.
Mallorca native Salom, 24, fell at Turn 12 with more than half of the 45-minute FP2 session remaining.

With the crash bringing out the red flags, the Spaniard received medical attention at the scene and was subsequently taken by ambulance to Hospital Universitari General de Catalunya.
A helicopter landed at the scene ready to airlift Salom, but in the end this was not needed.
The session – last for MotoGP’s three classes on Friday in Barcelona – was not restarted.
