Building on the success of its recently released CB750 Hornet, Honda’s decided it’s time to bring a brand-new, big-bore Hornet back to the fold – and it looks like a winner.
With stripped back handline, a 2017 CBR Fireblade-derived four cylinder motor and a load of top-specification goodies, the stripped back machine is likely to be an absolute blast to ride.
The machine is largely based on the outgoing CB1000R naked, though away from the styling overhaul, the new bike also gets a new twin spar frame similar to the smaller Hornet. Elsewhere it gets Showa suspension, Nissin brakes, a slightly smaller rear section tyre and a small but perfectly formed suite of electronics.

Details are still a little scarce at the time of writing, but by the time we get to Motorcycle Live Honda will have broken the news proper and provided a full lowdown on its latest sleek and stripped back naked. The good news is we know it’s coming… And if it’s priced anywhere near as competitive as the Hornet CB750, we reckon Honda’ll be onto a winner.
