Is there a new, slightly smaller version of Kawasaki’s modern retro motorcycle on the way in 2022?
We’ve heard a rumour that the Japanese factory could be working on a 650cc twin-cylinder engine version of its Z900RS.

It’s not too much of a stretch. The Z900RS has done reasonably well since its release a few years ago – and with Kawasaki already having a 650cc engine in the range (powering its Z650, Versys 650, Ninja 650 and Vulcan S), it shouldn’t be a massive job to make a few tweaks and release a smaller, A2-licence compatible version to appeal to an even wider audience.
We’ve not heard anything official at this stage, but with the big bike shows fast approaching, it’s likely we won’t have to wait too much longer to find out if it is going to be happening soon.
