Yamaha has officially announced the weight and power figures – and there’s no surprises in the data.
We told you these figures back on February 8, HERE when we were sent the information following a leak of the power and weight data from a display in Japan.
Last night, at a Yamaha event, the bike’s specs were officially revealed by the factory. Power is an exact 158.2bhp @ 11,500rpm, torque is 81.36ft-lb (111Nm) @ 9000rpm and wet weight is 210kg.
A main factor in the sales success of the big naked is going to be the price and with the MT-1o coming in at £9,999 it is £350 cheaper than the BMW S1000R and £200 cheaper than the Triumph Speed Triple S.
The bike will be available in May.
